In the 4th minute of the match, Santiago Mora tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ramón Viera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Santiago Mora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Ramón Viera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramón Viera was a little too slow when Santiago Mora got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, Manta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Mora came free, but Ramón Viera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Fariña's late challenge caught a Manta SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raul Fariña helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, CD KMIKC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Fariña to maneuver through the defense. After 23 played minutes Santiago Mora rounded Manta SC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. After a rather tough play, CD KMIKC's Maximiliano Valines got a free kick in the 25th minute. Manta SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Santiago Mora scored to the left of an out of position Ramón Viera, making the score, 3-0. Manta SC's Ramón Viera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Manta SC from getting a goal against them. Ramón Viera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Mora in the 32nd minute of the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Santiago Mora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD KMIKC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santiago Mora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD KMIKC's goalkeeper Miguel Quelia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Santiago Mora fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD KMIKC's protests and gave Santiago Mora a yellow card for diving instead. Ramón Viera made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Sebastián de la Rosa sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bustos Davalos to make the kick off. A collision led to Manta SC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Rey Carmona hit a great ball. Ramón Viera came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by CD KMIKC's Sebastián de la Rosa. But to his dismay, Sebastián de la Rosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Santiago Mora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The CD KMIKC fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when CD KMIKC's Santiago Mora looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Manta SC's zone, Sebastián de la Rosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramón Viera came out of the goal and Sebastián de la Rosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manta SC's Ramón Viera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Valines in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Manta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastián de la Rosa came free, but Ramón Viera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 minutes of play, CD KMIKC's Sebastián de la Rosa made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ramón Viera was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Maximiliano Valines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dencho Stanachkov charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dencho Stanachkov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. CD KMIKC's Mili Milik was substituted for Sebastián de la Rosa. A collision led to Manta SC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Dencho Stanachkov hit a great ball. Santiago Mora's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramón Viera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Manta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dannes Cevallos to maneuver through the defense. Ramón Viera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mili Milik went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Santiago Mora struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ramón Viera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD KMIKC.
