The supporters of CD Angelita booed when Papa Frita Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guagua Galarreta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Papa Frita Futbol Club's Urbano Balza got a free kick in the 21st minute. Xicu Echaez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Guagua Galarreta might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johnny Thomas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guagua Galarreta ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Papa Frita Futbol Club's Chico Galanes got a free kick in the 80th minute. Xicu Echaez was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 84th minute. Papa Frita Futbol Club's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Guagua Galarreta in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Johnny Thomas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Johnny Thomas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xicu Echaez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Badillo's late challenge caught a Papa Frita Futbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Badillo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th match minute, CD Angelita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Badillo to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Xicu Echaez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papa Frita Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Xicu Echaez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnny Thomas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Papa Frita Futbol Club's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
