When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Zarbonin Giraldo put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Anibal Ybarbo. Xicu Echaez scored 2-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anibal Ybarbo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Universidad Catolica's Anibal Ybarbo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guagua Galarreta in the 10th minute of play. A collision led to Universidad Catolica getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Walter Montalvo hit a great ball. Anibal Ybarbo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xicu Echaez in the 14th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Papa Frita Futbol Club's zone, Segundo Barbadillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guamán Arramendia came out of the goal and Segundo Barbadillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute, Chico Galanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guagua Galarreta got free with Anibal Ybarbo in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Xerardo Igarza took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anibal Ybarbo. Anibal Ybarbo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 27 minutes into the match, Universidad Catolica's goalkeeper Anibal Ybarbo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zarbonin Giraldo. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Guagua Galarreta took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Anibal Ybarbo to make any attempt to save it. Anibal Ybarbo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guagua Galarreta in the 32nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guagua Galarreta got free with Anibal Ybarbo in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xerardo Igarza in the 36th minute of play forced Universidad Catolica's goalkeeper Anibal Ybarbo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Xerardo Igarza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anibal Ybarbo. That made the score 6-0 in the 37 minute of play. Anibal Ybarbo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xicu Echaez, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute Xerardo Igarza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Ybarbo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guagua Galarreta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anibal Ybarbo came out and tried to block the shot, but Guagua Galarreta slotted it home off the left post making it 7-0 in the 44th minute.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guagua Galarreta in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anibal Ybarbo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anibal Ybarbo came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Papa Frita Futbol Club's Xerardo Igarza. But to his dismay, Xerardo Igarza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. In the 60th minute, Urbano Balza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Papa Frita Futbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. The audience was convinced that Guagua Galarreta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anibal Ybarbo was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Universidad Catolica's Anibal Ybarbo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xicu Echaez in the 68th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Xicu Echaez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 11-0. Anibal Ybarbo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Guagua Galarreta scored 12-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anibal Ybarbo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marlon Valdovinos hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 78 minutes of play, Papa Frita Futbol Club's Zarbonin Giraldo made it 13-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anibal Ybarbo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 81 minutes into the game, Papa Frita Futbol Club's Xicu Echaez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anibal Ybarbo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 14-0. Anibal Ybarbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guagua Galarreta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anibal Ybarbo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zarbonin Giraldo in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Universidad Catolica's goal looked a bit too open when Xicu Echaez came free, but Anibal Ybarbo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anibal Ybarbo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zarbonin Giraldo went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 16-0 was the resulting score. Anibal Ybarbo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guagua Galarreta, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Papa Frita Futbol Club fully deserved thier win.
