The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 21st minute Geovanni Zalon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Poroso Villalva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poroso Villalva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geovanni Zalon went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Poroso Villalva was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Rios Erruz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rios Erruz really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. 35 minutes into the match, Tanchiguo's goal looked a bit too open when Americo Bilbao came free, but Argi Barron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Xesus Sevane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Argi Barron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Argi Barron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xesus Sevane, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Geovanni Zalon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geovanni Zalon made a kick off. If Geovanni Zalon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Argi Barron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reasco Freijo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Fausto Godines fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Virgen de la Merced's protests and gave Fausto Godines a yellow card for diving instead. Virgen de la Merced's Poroso Villalva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Zalon in the 59th minute of play. Argi Barron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reasco Freijo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Villar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Argi Barron having to interfere. After 77 minutes, Benjamin Quijada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tanchiguo and the Virgen de la Merced players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th minute, Benjamin Quijada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Poroso Villalva came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Tanchiguo's Geovanni Zalon. But to his dismay, Geovanni Zalon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-1. The supporters of Tanchiguo booed when Virgen de la Merced was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Félix Alcayde didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanni Zalon in the 88th minute of play forced Virgen de la Merced's goalkeeper Poroso Villalva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 93 played minutes Virgen de la Merced got a freekick which was hit by Félix Alcayde. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanni Zalon in the 97th minute of play forced Virgen de la Merced's goalkeeper Poroso Villalva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tanchiguo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
