The player immediately received a yellow card. Argi Barron didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xulio Arvelo went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Cuenca S.C's Guillermo Pontones played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rios Erruz in the 16th minute of play. Guillermo Pontones came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Tanchiguo's Geovanni Zalon. But to his dismay, Geovanni Zalon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Argi Barron successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Xulio Arvelo in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Argi Barron, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 26 minutes into the match, Xulio Arvelo notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Tanchiguo's Argi Barron. Argi Barron was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Guillermo Pontones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Americo Bertin in the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Tanchiguo's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Navariega came free, but Argi Barron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tanchiguo's Argi Barron proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Tanchiguo from getting a goal against them. Tanchiguo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Armando Alamea scored to the left of an out of position Argi Barron, making the score, 3-2. With his leg Argi Barron managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Cuenca S.C's Armando Alamea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 45th minute Geovanni Zalon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Pontones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovanni Zalon took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guillermo Pontones. Guillermo Pontones dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eduardo Navariega to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Rios Erruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Pontones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgardo Olivera lost his temper 60 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Edgardo Olivera hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamin Quijada got free with Guillermo Pontones in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guillermo Pontones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Americo Bertin in the 64th minute of the match. Xulio Arvelo might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Argi Barron. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xulio Arvelo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 69th minute, Fred Locke ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guillermo Pontones was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. Xulio Arvelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Argi Barron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xulio Arvelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th match minute, Cuenca S.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Navariega to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Armando Alamea made a precise shot to the right of Argi Barron. Tanchiguo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-4. 85 minutes into the match, Tanchiguo's goal looked a bit too open when Carabalí Quelia came free, but Argi Barron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cuenca S.C's Armando Alamea in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tanchiguo's goalie prevented a goal. Cuenca S.C's Guillermo Pontones played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Valente in the 88th minute of play. Diamantino Valente hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
