Virgen de la Merced's Poroso Villalva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xulio Arvelo in the 4th minute of play. Poroso Villalva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Navariega in the 10th minute of play. Poroso Villalva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Alamea in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Xulio Arvelo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Poroso Villalva. Virgen de la Merced's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xulio Arvelo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Eduardo Navariega took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Poroso Villalva. Poroso Villalva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 23 minutes into the match, Armando Alamea notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Virgen de la Merced's Poroso Villalva. Poroso Villalva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Poroso Villalva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Navariega, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Caldo de Gallina Ranchero were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Virgen de la Merced's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cortez Gill took the corner. The corner led Caldo de Gallina Ranchero's Carabalí Quelia to fire away a dangerous shot which Poroso Villalva despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Poroso Villalva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Alamea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Xulio Arvelo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Poroso Villalva. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xulio Arvelo in the 41st minute of play forced Virgen de la Merced's goalkeeper Poroso Villalva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eduardo Navariega scored 0-6 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Poroso Villalva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 47 minutes into the match, Virgen de la Merced's goal looked a bit too open when Xulio Arvelo came free, but Poroso Villalva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduardo Navariega stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Carabalí Quelia notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Virgen de la Merced's Poroso Villalva. Guillermo Pontones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xesus Sevane in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Xulio Arvelo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Poroso Villalva was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Navariega in the 66th minute of play forced Virgen de la Merced's goalkeeper Poroso Villalva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Poroso Villalva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xulio Arvelo in the 71st minute. Fausto Godines hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Cortez Gill blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Poroso Villalva having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Caldo de Gallina Ranchero's Eduardo Navariega slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Poroso Villalva. That made the score 0-10 after 77 minutes of play. In the 80th minute Eduardo Navariega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Poroso Villalva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guillermo Pontones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Bilbao in the 90th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Caldo de Gallina Ranchero got a freekick which was hit by Edgardo Olivera. Americo Bilbao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Poroso Villalva was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eduardo Navariega showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-11 in the 95 minute of play. Caldo de Gallina Ranchero's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
