The audience thought a goal was coming when Cortez Gill got free with Bolívar Fierro in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute, Fausto Teijon made a precise shot to the right of Guillermo Pontones. Caldo de Gallina Ranchero's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 16th minute Fausto Teijon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Pontones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Yerro in the 18th minute of play forced Caldo de Gallina Ranchero's goalkeeper Guillermo Pontones to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cortez Gill scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bolívar Fierro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Edgardo Olivera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zuñiga Portas scored 1-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guillermo Pontones, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veronica Merodio in the 28th minute of play forced Caldo de Gallina Ranchero's goalkeeper Guillermo Pontones to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Caldo de Gallina Ranchero's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Yerro came free, but Guillermo Pontones reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Arnoldo Yerro managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Chavay's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Yerro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillermo Pontones breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Veronica Merodio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Guillermo Pontones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guillermo Pontones took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Yerro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. UD Chavay were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Caldo de Gallina Ranchero's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nacho Chasco took the corner. The UD Chavay fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when UD Chavay's Fausto Teijon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Caldo de Gallina Ranchero's Maximo Buzon got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute, Edgardo Olivera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bolívar Fierro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Bolívar Fierro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Olivera in the 48th minute of play. The Caldo de Gallina Ranchero players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. UD Chavay were winning 2-3.
Zuñiga Portas took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guillermo Pontones. Guillermo Pontones dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. In the 57th minute, Armando Alamea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caldo de Gallina Ranchero fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. In the 60th minute, Cortez Gill ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bolívar Fierro was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-4. In the 63rd minute, Armando Alamea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the UD Chavay defense, Edgardo Olivera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bolívar Fierro. The UD Chavay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bolívar Fierro should have stopped the shot. 72 minutes into the game, Fausto Teijon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Guillermo Pontones. Fausto Teijon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-5. After 79 played minutes Caldo de Gallina Ranchero got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Ilardia. Arnoldo Yerro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Guillermo Pontones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Marin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 85 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute, one of UD Chavay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UD Chavay. The referee gave Caldo de Gallina Ranchero a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cortez Gill, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of UD Chavay's Bolívar Fierro. 6-5. In the 94th minute Veronica Merodio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Pontones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Carabalí Quelia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Caldo de Gallina Ranchero fans cheered their team off the field, for while UD Chavay had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
