After 8 minutes, Ignacio Dineros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sarayacu and the Loja S.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sarayacu's Ignacio Dineros got a free kick in the 8th minute. Andres Viñe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Villadiego, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute Ordonez Llibre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Caton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sarayacu's Xaver Gobantes got a free kick in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Fabricio Vedeja dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andres Viñe, 1-0. Andres Viñe made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Alonzo Gipils sent off a good shot on target. The long shot by Reasco Landeros in the 41st minute really tested Andres Viñe's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Camilo Garay hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Sarayacu's Andres Viñe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Sarayacu from getting a goal against them. In the 45th minute Ordonez Llibre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Caton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Ignacio Dineros hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute of the match Reasco Landeros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andres Viñe skillfully saved the ball. Kaviedes Burgueño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Joel Caton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peter Riguez during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Andres Viñe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alonzo Gipils went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When Felix Pascua came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Loja S.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Pascua couldn't finish the play. Andres Viñe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Pascua in the 76th minute of the match. Camilo Garay kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the game, Reasco Landeros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. After a rather tough play, Sarayacu's Camilo Garay got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 89th minute of the match Loja S.C. got a corner. Sarayacu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Reasco Landeros ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 93rd match minute, Sarayacu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sotomayor Soldevilla to maneuver through the defense. Andres Viñe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Vedeja, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Sarayacu's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Villadiego came free, but Andres Viñe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Loja S.C. players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
