Leo Løhr's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luis Latonero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute C. D. Guayaquil were awarded a corner. Oxarra Bernaldo went to the cornerflag to take it. C. D.
