They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, DALO S.C.'s Peter Aceituno got a free kick in the 55th minute. Liga de Quito's Silvio Morelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urritz Martiniana in the 58th minute of play. Alonzo Vera was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. DALO S.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Mora Liebana took a quick shot and it went in 0-12 without a chance for Silvio Morelo to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alonzo Vera got free with Silvio Morelo in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dennis Tabliega charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dennis Tabliega the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st minute, Alonzo Vera reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Silvio Morelo. The goal made the score 0-15. DALO S.C. made a substitution. Loco Alves replaced Emilio Vispieres. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Mora Liebana put it in 0-17 from a short distance just to the right of Silvio Morelo. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Mora Liebana managed to get in a good position for a shot. DALO S.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Mora Liebana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvio Morelo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Loco Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Silvio Morelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Mora Liebana kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Silvio Morelo. That made the score 0-18 in the 96 minute of play. When the match was over DALO S.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Liga de Quito throughout the match.
