Silvio Morelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xinaro Ochoa in the 6th minute of the match. Victoro Garrote fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xayvion Pinazas having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Zilar Barcena notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Azulez F.C's Xayvion Pinazas. Xayvion Pinazas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 12 minutes into the game, Azulez F.C's Mariano Unceta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvio Morelo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Silvio Morelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osorio Palenciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvio Morelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osorio Palenciano in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Ysmael Ceraso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Mariano Unceta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 23 minutes, Dennis Tabliega mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liga de Quito and the Azulez F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Liga de Quito's Dennis Tabliega got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute of the match Osorio Palenciano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvio Morelo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Liga de Quito's Silvio Morelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Unceta in the 31st minute of play. After 35 played minutes Azulez F.C got a freekick which was hit by Osorio Palenciano. 37 minutes into the game, Osorio Palenciano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Silvio Morelo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Asencio Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zilar Barcena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xinaro Ochoa scored 1-4 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvio Morelo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Azulez F.C were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zilar Barcena made a kick off. Asencio Arce was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 53 minutes into the match. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Azulez F.C! The referee gave Liga de Quito a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rodrigo Ayllon, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Azulez F.C's Xayvion Pinazas. 2-4. Osorio Palenciano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. Azulez F.C's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 59th minute, Xinaro Ochoa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Silvio Morelo. The goal made the score 2-5. Silvio Morelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xicu Ocejo in the 68th minute of play. If Mariano Unceta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Xinaro Ochoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xicu Ocejo in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvio Morelo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Azulez F.C booed when Liga de Quito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zilar Barcena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xinaro Ochoa in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvio Morelo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xinaro Ochoa got free with Silvio Morelo in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xinaro Ochoa in the 85th minute of play forced Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Silvio Morelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xicu Ocejo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvio Morelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xinaro Ochoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. In the 98th minute, one of Liga de Quito:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Liga de Quito. The referee gave Azulez F.C a penalty, 101 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Osorio Palenciano, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Liga de Quito's Silvio Morelo. 2-7. Azulez F.C's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
