The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Dennis Tabliega fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liga de Quito's protests and gave Dennis Tabliega a yellow card for diving instead. DALO S.C. made a substitution. Fausto Respaldizar replaced Xinto Guerrez. Dennis Tabliega hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. The supporters of DALO S.C. booed when Liga de Quito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ysmael Ceraso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when León Careaga got free with Silvio Morelo in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Liga de Quito defense, León Careaga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silvio Morelo. The Liga de Quito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvio Morelo should have stopped the shot. Silvio Morelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lode Van Hemel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvio Morelo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alonzo Vera went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Lode Van Hemel took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Silvio Morelo to make any attempt to save it. In the 22nd match minute, Liga de Quito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Urroz to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute of the match Peter Aceituno shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvio Morelo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Ysmael Ceraso fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Alonzo Vera received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Silvio Morelo came out and tried to block the shot, but Alonzo Vera slotted it home off the left post making it 6-0 in the 33rd minute. Lode Van Hemel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Silvio Morelo made a huge save. 38 minutes into the game, Alonzo Vera lined in a short shot 7-0 behind a frustrated Silvio Morelo. In the 41st minute, DALO S.C.'s Lode Van Hemel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 8-0. Alonzo Vera hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 48 minutes, Alonzo Vera made it 9-0 with a short kick to the right side. Liga de Quito's Silvio Morelo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 9-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zilar Barcena was the one to do the kick off. Alonzo Vera might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvio Morelo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alonzo Vera ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Alonzo Vera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvio Morelo was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Lode Van Hemel took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvio Morelo. Silvio Morelo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. The supporters of DALO S.C. booed when Liga de Quito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Tabliega didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute of the match Fausto Respaldizar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvio Morelo skillfully saved the ball. Silvio Morelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alonzo Vera in the 67th minute of play. León Careaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 played minutes DALO S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Lode Van Hemel. Silvio Morelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lode Van Hemel in the 71st minute of play. Silvio Morelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Vera in the 76th minute of the match. Silvio Morelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lode Van Hemel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 78 minutes, Lode Van Hemel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DALO S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Lode Van Hemel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goal looked a bit too open when León Careaga came free, but Silvio Morelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvio Morelo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alonzo Vera's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. The DALO S.C. fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when DALO S.C.'s Alonzo Vera looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 11-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Silvio Morelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alonzo Vera, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alonzo Vera in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvio Morelo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Liga de Quito's zone, Lode Van Hemel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Morelo came out of the goal and Lode Van Hemel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alonzo Vera scored 12-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvio Morelo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 93rd minute, Alonzo Vera made a precise shot to the right of Silvio Morelo. Liga de Quito's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 13-0. DALO S.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
