No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Dawid Ratulowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reimundo Casado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Maximo Villamarin fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Red Reign's protests and gave Maximo Villamarin a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes Red Reign got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Villamarin. Diablos FC's Franklin Hostos was substituted for Moises Suane. After 64 played minutes Red Reign got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Villamarin. After 66 minutes, Lopez Portanares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Red Reign and the Diablos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Diablos FC booed when Red Reign was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lopez Portanares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Red Reign's Dawid Ratulowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reimundo Casado in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Villamarin in the 86th minute of play forced Diablos FC's goalkeeper João Vítor de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Franklin Hostos took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Dawid Ratulowski to make any attempt to save it. Red Reign made a substitution. Pablo Beloso replaced Lopez Portanares. 94 minutes into the game, Diablos FC's Franklin Hostos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dawid Ratulowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Despite being the better team, Diablos FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
