A collision led to Inter de Guayaquil FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Lorenzo Acutain hit a great ball. With a little luck, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Sebastian Hellkvist got control of the ball when Kong Zhi Wei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kong Zhi Wei stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eléctricos F.C.'s Tonio Bergada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörn Svartengren in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Eléctricos F.C.'s goalkeeper Tonio Bergada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jörn Svartengren. In the last second Tonio Bergada throw himself and got hold of the ball when Éric Cantona in the 72ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. With a little luck, Eléctricos F.C.'s Tonio Bergada got control of the ball when Éric Cantona tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 74th minute, Éric Cantona reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tonio Bergada. The goal made the score 1-3. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Humberto Barragan was substituted for Lorenzo Acutain. A collision led to Inter de Guayaquil FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Humberto Barragan hit a great ball.
