In the 12th minute, Capellonia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eugenio Cornejo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Ricart in the 15th minute of play forced Capellonia's goalkeeper Oihan Valluerca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute Bartolo Ricart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oihan Valluerca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Capellonia's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Ricart came free, but Oihan Valluerca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bartolo Ricart was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 32nd minute. C. A. Union Caribe's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Capellonia's Oihan Valluerca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Capellonia from getting a goal against them. Guerau Belloso kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. C. A. Union Caribe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Segio Nebot in the 45th minute.

Capellonia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. When Ulises Aujea came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Capellonia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulises Aujea couldn't finish the play. Oihan Valluerca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugenio Cornejo's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Eugenio Cornejo managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Union Caribe's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugenio Cornejo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oihan Valluerca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. C. A. Union Caribe walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
