Spectators: 6709 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 0) Humberto Pujana started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Casteja's Raulo Olalde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inautzi Quijano in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Casteja's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Pujana came free, but Raulo Olalde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The long shot by Egun Vigo in the 10th minute really tested Berriotxoa Pizarro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Paulin Araña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Berriotxoa Pizarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 16 minutes, Ourente Mendaña mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Casteja and the Varasanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Ourente Mendaña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Varasanta's Xavier Pelaez tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Paulin Araña put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Berriotxoa Pizarro. After 29 minutes, Baumar Alsedar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Casteja and the Varasanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Casteja! The referee gave Varasanta a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Xavier Pelaez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Casteja's Raulo Olalde. 2-1. A collision led to Varasanta getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ixaka Nunez hit a great ball. Humberto Pujana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raulo Olalde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inautzi Quijano in the 41st minute of play. When Varasanta's Humberto Pujana in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Casteja's goalie prevented a goal. After 43 minutes, Egun Vigo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Casteja and the Varasanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 45 played minutes, Varasanta's Xavier Pelaez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Raulo Olalde came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Varasanta reached it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cefero Puget stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Zeru Baruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cefero Puget fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berriotxoa Pizarro having to interfere. Raulo Olalde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Pujana, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When Humberto Pujana came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Varasanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Pujana couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute Paulin Araña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berriotxoa Pizarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Casteja's zone, Inautzi Quijano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raulo Olalde came out of the goal and Inautzi Quijano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Paulin Araña managed to get in a good position for a shot. Casteja's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulin Araña was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Berriotxoa Pizarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute, Humberto Pujana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Inautzi Quijano struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Raulo Olalde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varasanta. Paulin Araña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Berriotxoa Pizarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Pujana in the 86th minute of play forced Casteja's goalkeeper Raulo Olalde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cefero Puget had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulin Araña blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Berriotxoa Pizarro having to make a save. Berriotxoa Pizarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cefero Puget in the 96th minute of play.
