Spectators: 6709 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 0) Lanapa FC's Gonsalve Cumbres started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Markel Velunza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonsalve Cumbres in the 6th minute of play forced Banganita FC's goalkeeper Rameriz Cantillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Markel Velunza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orlin Peruyera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Markel Velunza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlin Peruyera having to interfere. Lanapa FC's Nalo Toria shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 16th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rameriz Cantillo but with some difficulty. Lanapa FC's Orlin Peruyera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Beneitez in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Rosario Hero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliu Busto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Rameriz Cantillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rameriz Cantillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonsalve Cumbres in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Marcelo Folgueras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chuan Anievas kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Banganita FC's goalkeeper Rameriz Cantillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliu Busto. Rameriz Cantillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eliu Busto in the 39th minute. In the 44th match minute, Lanapa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nalo Toria to maneuver through the defense. After 47 minutes Lanapa FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Precioso Revenga who took care of the corner kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Markel Velunza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Markel Velunza came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Banganita FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Markel Velunza couldn't finish the play. Rameriz Cantillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliu Busto, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Maule Tijero lost his temper 62 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 61st minute, one of Banganita FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Banganita FC. The referee gave Lanapa FC a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rosio Bazo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Banganita FC's Rameriz Cantillo. 2-0. 68 minutes into the game, Banganita FC's Marcelo Folgueras nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Orlin Peruyera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliu Busto in the 73rd minute of play forced Banganita FC's goalkeeper Rameriz Cantillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gonsalve Cumbres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelo Folgueras got free with Orlin Peruyera in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Orlin Peruyera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Folgueras in the 81st minute. Desire Martines recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Banganita FC's goalkeeper Rameriz Cantillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rameriz Cantillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliu Busto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Marcelo Folgueras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lanapa FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Banganita FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
