Guamacho FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tumba FC the free kick. The supporters of Tumba FC booed when Guamacho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emesto Arieta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Guamacho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Motel came free, but Gaizka Vizcaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cruz Olaondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Gaizka Vizcaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tumba FC were furious when Frascuelo Amaya was red carded, 43 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 42 minutes into the game, one of Tumba FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zenaido Vidal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Valdo Motel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaizka Vizcaya having to interfere. If Valdo Motel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdo Motel struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Gaizka Vizcaya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tumba FC. Tumba FC's Valdo Motel got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ruben Ayala came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Tumba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruben Ayala couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Valdo Motel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaizka Vizcaya was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.
