Xavies Vinegra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolaus Haaf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xavies Vinegra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolaus Haaf's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Riogrande's zone, Carl Benett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xavies Vinegra came out of the goal and Carl Benett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ElPorvenir's Zenon Sliwinski quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dalmau Casero, made in the 32nd minute of the game. Nicolaus Haaf scored 0-3 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xavies Vinegra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Xavies Vinegra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolaus Haaf in the 36th minute of play. In the 45thth minute of the game Nicolaus Haaf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Riogrande's Xavies Vinegra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicolaus Haaf to make the kick off. A collision led to Riogrande getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Maraman Calvillo hit a great ball. 52 minutes into the game, ElPorvenir's Nicolaus Haaf nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Riogrande's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ElPorvenir the free kick. Carl Benett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavies Vinegra having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded ElPorvenir left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Riogrande.
