The Iguez FC fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Iguez FC's Duarte Maximino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Duarte Maximino was the one to do the kick off. Leonardo Eibar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Airetupal EXC's Xuoco Cañaveral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Airetupal EXC from getting a goal against them. Duarte Maximino might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xuoco Cañaveral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Duarte Maximino ran back to his position shaking his head. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Airetupal EXC! In the 93rd minute there was a penalty for Iguez FC. Denis Hernaiz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Xuoco Cañaveral. 0-2. Iguez FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
