Pepe Tejerina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Izotz Atauri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dario Zuriarrain. Corillo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Izotz Atauri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, Union Magdalena's goal looked a bit too open when Hernandez Casanueva came free, but Carolo Fortea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pepe Tejerina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Carolo Fortea made a huge save. Union Magdalena's Carolo Fortea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Union Magdalena from getting a goal against them. Carolo Fortea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernandez Casanueva in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute Mannuel Avellano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Zuriarrain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dario Zuriarrain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mannuel Avellano in the 23rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hernandez Casanueva during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Union Magdalena booed when Corillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernandez Casanueva didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Izotz Atauri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Union Magdalena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Izotz Atauri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carolo Fortea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernandez Casanueva in the 32nd minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Pepe Tejerina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corillo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pepe Tejerina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Union Magdalena's Iyan Foronda got a free kick in the 35th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Hernandez Casanueva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corillo's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernandez Casanueva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carolo Fortea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pepe Tejerina got free with Carolo Fortea in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Union Magdalena were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Hernandez Casanueva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carolo Fortea having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Pepe Tejerina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corillo's supporters rose to their feet, but Pepe Tejerina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carolo Fortea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57th minute, Pepe Tejerina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pepe Tejerina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Carolo Fortea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Corillo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Izotz Atauri fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mannuel Avellano in the 65th minute of play forced Corillo's goalkeeper Dario Zuriarrain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Corillo's Hernandez Casanueva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carolo Fortea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernandez Casanueva in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carolo Fortea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Corillo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Duarte Lezarreta in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernandez Casanueva in the 91st minute of play forced Union Magdalena's goalkeeper Carolo Fortea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pepe Tejerina might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carolo Fortea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pepe Tejerina ran back to his position shaking his head. Carolo Fortea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pepe Tejerina, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Zayveon Siles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Union Magdalena supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Union Magdalena would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
