Carolo Fortea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orti Junquera went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Portales defense, Izotz Atauri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Laffitte Torres. The Portales fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laffitte Torres should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute, Mannuel Avellano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th match minute, Portales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ospin Carriedo to maneuver through the defense. Union Magdalena's Carolo Fortea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilllermo Olier in the 45th minute of play. When Guilllermo Olier came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Portales fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guilllermo Olier couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guilllermo Olier made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Guilllermo Olier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portales's supporters rose to their feet, but Guilllermo Olier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carolo Fortea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66thth minute of the game Guilllermo Olier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Union Magdalena's Carolo Fortea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Orti Junquera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orti Junquera might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carolo Fortea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orti Junquera ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 89th minute, Rutenio Bacardi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orti Junquera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iyan Foronda was shown his second yellow card after 96 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Union Magdalena getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Iyan Foronda hit a great ball. Portales were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
