The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dalmau Gordon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benja Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Beliran Bobadilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beliran Bobadilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benja Moreno, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Benja Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Beliran Bobadilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giraldo Cabarcos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beliran Bobadilla having to interfere. Dacio Centenales charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dacio Centenales the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Yopal FC booed when LaUnionSporting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dacio Centenales didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yopal FC's Quinito Gabaldon couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for LaUnionSporting. In the 27th minute, Rui Loureiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 29 minutes into the game, LaUnionSporting's Ramon Deaguero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beliran Bobadilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 32nd minute, Ramon Deaguero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beliran Bobadilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Rui Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute Benja Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beliran Bobadilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermon Arria struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Aureliano Corias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yopal FC. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hermon Arria was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 53 in the game by Ticho Marti from a close distance when the talented Aureliano Corias managed to make a qualified save. LaUnionSporting's players were relieved. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Benja Moreno put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Beliran Bobadilla. In the 58th minute, Hermon Arria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beliran Bobadilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benja Moreno's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. A collision led to LaUnionSporting getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Dalmau Gordon hit a great ball. If Ramon Deaguero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the game, Eloi Andonaegui was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yopal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LaUnionSporting the free kick. After a rather tough play, Yopal FC's Eloi Andonaegui got a free kick in the 70th minute. Ramon Deaguero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Beliran Bobadilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Benja Moreno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beliran Bobadilla having to interfere. Benja Moreno might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Beliran Bobadilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benja Moreno ran back to his position shaking his head. Aquiles Moiselo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beliran Bobadilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Ramon Deaguero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beliran Bobadilla having to interfere. Aureliano Corias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermon Arria, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. When the referee ended the match the LaUnionSporting players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
