One of Amaseri:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Espíritu Santo:s goal. After 12 minutes of play, Espíritu Santo's Gaspard Matos made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donio Sotelo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Melchor Erramun kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Donio Sotelo. That made the score 2-0 in the 15 minute of play. If Gaspard Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donio Sotelo made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Melchor Erramun sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute, Espíritu Santo's Melchor Erramun dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. If Haimar Vados had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dawid Karanowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregory Hoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the game, Kevin Romero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Espíritu Santo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amaseri the free kick. After 33 played minutes Espíritu Santo got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Romero. If Gaspard Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erroman Zubillaga hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, Espíritu Santo's Melchor Erramun ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Donio Sotelo. Donio Sotelo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The supporters of Espíritu Santo booed when Amaseri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Colmenarejo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd minute, Botello Barreras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donio Sotelo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st minute Melchor Erramun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donio Sotelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Selatse Cediel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the game, Melchor Erramun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Donio Sotelo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 68th minute, Botello Barreras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bitxintxo Espindola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dawid Karanowski having to interfere. Dawid Karanowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregory Hoz in the 71st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Melchor Erramun in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donio Sotelo saved Amaseri from getting behind. After having played for 76 minutes, Gaspard Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espíritu Santo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaspard Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Melchor Erramun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Donio Sotelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Melchor Erramun sped through Amaseri's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Donio Sotelo.
