The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Estudiantes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ramos Gorria came free, but Joey Elano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Betadur Trillo in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joey Elano saved Estudiantes FC from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Estudiantes FC's Gaston Bribiesca slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Isadoro Granja. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. Lore Castejon's late challenge caught a Korotto FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lore Castejon helped the player get up and apologised. Lore Castejon kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Betadur Trillo made a precise shot to the right of Joey Elano. Estudiantes FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Joey Elano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betadur Trillo in the 21st minute of the match. If Betadur Trillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isadoro Granja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Bribiesca in the 26th minute of the match. The supporters of Korotto FC booed when Estudiantes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lore Castejon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guilllermo Parra, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes FC's zone, Betadur Trillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joey Elano came out of the goal and Betadur Trillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the game, Korotto FC's Ramos Gorria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joey Elano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Joey Elano came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Korotto FC's Ramos Gorria. But to his dismay, Ramos Gorria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 42nd minute, Ramos Gorria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xaime Ugalde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Estudiantes FC's Joey Elano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betadur Trillo in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Korotto FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gaston Bribiesca made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes FC's zone, Betadur Trillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joey Elano came out of the goal and Betadur Trillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the match, Estudiantes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Betadur Trillo came free, but Joey Elano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Huly Domayca kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Joey Elano made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Ramos Gorria sent off a good shot on target. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Korotto FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Baltasar Eguizabal was slow to take the kick. During this time Estudiantes FC's players had a chance to rest. Baltasar Eguizabal made a great header on Estudiantes FC's corner, it was just that Korotto FC's Isadoro Granja managed to reach the ball for a save. Efraim Bultron kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodoro Guera during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Estudiantes FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Gaston Bribiesca hit a great ball. Korotto FC's Betadur Trillo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 76th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Joey Elano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betadur Trillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. When Ramos Gorria came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Korotto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramos Gorria couldn't finish the play. 87 minutes into the match, Estudiantes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Betadur Trillo came free, but Joey Elano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Betadur Trillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joey Elano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betadur Trillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ramos Gorria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Teodoro Guera was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 95 minutes had been played. Korotto FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
