Guipuzkoa Guiluz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Tabernilla in the 7th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, Loreto FC's Jose Tabernilla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guipuzkoa Guiluz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The supporters of Real América FC booed when Loreto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fortun Borrellino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 played minutes, Real América FC's Gonzalo Melgosa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zavior Paliza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Real América FC reached it. Guipuzkoa Guiluz made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Jonas Verdenosa sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Real América FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Gonzalo Melgosa hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Real América FC's zone, Jonas Verdenosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guipuzkoa Guiluz came out of the goal and Jonas Verdenosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Loreto FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Guter Sando hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Loreto FC's Guter Sando got a free kick in the 28th minute. If Jose Tabernilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Verdenosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simon Munaya to make the kick off. If Jonas Verdenosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 54 minutes into the match, Real América FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Verdenosa came free, but Guipuzkoa Guiluz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Betadur Trevilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Simon Munaya took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Zavior Paliza to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Loreto FC's zone, Tello Asturiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zavior Paliza came out of the goal and Tello Asturiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Costoya hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the match, Loreto FC's Jonas Verdenosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guipuzkoa Guiluz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Munaya in the 77th minute of play forced Loreto FC's goalkeeper Zavior Paliza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Verdenosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guipuzkoa Guiluz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Verdenosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real América FC's Guipuzkoa Guiluz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guter Sando in the 87th minute of play. The goalkeeper, Zavior Paliza, was totally fooled by Real América FC's Gonzalo Melgosa, who 93 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 99 minutes into the match, Jonas Verdenosa notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Real América FC's Guipuzkoa Guiluz. Guipuzkoa Guiluz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Real América FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
