Victorio Noya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Lon Valderrabano made a huge save. Jon Monterrey kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Serapio Arrueta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Serapio Arrueta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Zumiel having to interfere. Bartoli Amezua's late challenge caught a Guamaco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bartoli Amezua helped the player get up and apologised. Bartoli Amezua kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Guamaco FC's Senon Abalos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Espino FC. The supporters of Guamaco FC booed when Espino FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertran Baizan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guamaco FC were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after Espino FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Senon Abalos took the corner. The corner led to Guamaco FC's Michel Goiti getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaudencio Feloaga to strike the kick off in the second half. Gaudencio Feloaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute Naike Rioseco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Zumiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michel Goiti's late challenge caught a Espino FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michel Goiti helped the player get up and apologised. After 77 played minutes Guamaco FC got a freekick which was hit by Michel Goiti. Victorio Noya's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lon Valderrabano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, one of Espino FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sergio Zumiel went to the wrong direction when Senon Abalos was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 84th minute, Gergori Erauzquin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gorosti Santillan fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Espino FC's protests and gave Gorosti Santillan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89thth minute of the game Naike Rioseco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espino FC's Sergio Zumiel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 99 minutes into the match, Gorosti Santillan notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Guamaco FC's Lon Valderrabano. Lon Valderrabano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Guamaco FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
