In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Gualmal FC's goalkeeper Godofredo Sebastian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Guillermo Logares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Godofredo Sebastian was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Guillermo Logares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Godofredo Sebastian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Logares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Uxio Reinoso made a great header on Paraquimana FC's corner, it was just that Gualmal FC's Godofredo Sebastian managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 57th minute, Gualmal FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jakes Vinambres fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 58 minutes into the match, Gualmal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Logares came free, but Godofredo Sebastian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
