Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Anier Tehas took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 2 played minutes Cariaco FC got a freekick which was hit by Breogan Castañiza. Fernando Luzano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Tijerina having to interfere. Anier Tehas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Jonatan Tijerina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Ferdinand Zamarripa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Cariaco FC's Jobo Larena slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Costante Poblaciones. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. 14 minutes into the match, Calandaima's goalkeeper Costante Poblaciones had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Astor Vadillo. 15 minutes into the game, Damian Conde was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calandaima's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cariaco FC the free kick. Jobo Larena scored 2-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Costante Poblaciones, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cariaco FC's Jonatan Tijerina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Luzano in the 20th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cariaco FC's zone, Fernando Luzano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonatan Tijerina came out of the goal and Fernando Luzano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anier Tehas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonatan Tijerina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Gonza Charro struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Jonatan Tijerina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calandaima. Costante Poblaciones made an important save on a dangerous shot by Astor Vadillo in the 33rd minute. In the 39th minute, Loramendi Folle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Jobo Larena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cariaco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jobo Larena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Costante Poblaciones breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anier Tehas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonatan Tijerina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Efren Olavarria's late challenge caught a Calandaima's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Efren Olavarria helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Calandaima booed when Cariaco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efren Olavarria didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 50 in the game by Astor Vadillo from a close distance when the talented Costante Poblaciones managed to make a qualified save. Calandaima's players were relieved. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Costante Poblaciones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jobo Larena in the 54th minute of the match. When Astor Vadillo came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Cariaco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Astor Vadillo couldn't finish the play. If Jobo Larena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Luzano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jonatan Tijerina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Astor Vadillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Calandaima's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Vadillo came free, but Costante Poblaciones reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jobo Larena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Costante Poblaciones read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Jonatan Tijerina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anier Tehas in the 84th minute of play. Costante Poblaciones stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jobo Larena's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute Jobo Larena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costante Poblaciones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Neron Salto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 98 minutes, Oswaldo Gandarillas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cariaco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oswaldo Gandarillas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Calandaima's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
