Rafe Roqueñi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 6 played minutes Pelaya got a freekick which was hit by Rafe Roqueñi. Orlandus Zunzunegui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Sindo Munozcano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pelaya's Mikel Lambarida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruy Laiz in the 11th minute of play. Oliverio Godines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Txatxu Bringas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 minutes, Ramon Perlines mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pelaya and the Berranca players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ramon Perlines hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Fulgencio Murua didn't quite understand what happened when in the 24 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After 26 played minutes Pelaya got a freekick which was hit by Oliverios Manzano. After a defensive mix-up in Pelaya's zone, Raitin Collazos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mikel Lambarida came out of the goal and Raitin Collazos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ruy Laiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikel Lambarida having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Raitin Collazos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berranca's supporters rose to their feet, but Raitin Collazos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikel Lambarida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Espiridion Mañon hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Pelaya's Mikel Lambarida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Satordi Barbosa in the 45th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Txatxu Bringas made a kick off. Txatxu Bringas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Oliverio Godines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pelaya's Rafe Roqueñi got his second yellow card of the match in the 59th minute. The referee ordered Rafe Roqueñi off the ground. A collision led to Pelaya getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Rafe Roqueñi hit a great ball. Mikel Lambarida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raitin Collazos, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, Pelaya's Stefano Buelva got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After 81 minutes, Oliverio Godines made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Berranca's Sindo Munozcano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Txatxu Bringas managed to get in a good position for a shot.
