Spectators: 5030 (Terracing: 4015, Seating: 1010, VIP seats: 5) Frichoso Chapa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Frichoso Chapa came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Independiente del Huila fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frichoso Chapa couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Independiente del Huila booed when Mónaco fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcial Armendariz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chuse Aspiazu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Min Miera in the 14th minute of the match. Marcial Armendariz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chuse Aspiazu having to interfere. In the 21st minute Marcial Armendariz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chuse Aspiazu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Mónaco fc's goal looked a bit too open when Frichoso Chapa came free, but Ondino Villalaud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes Mónaco fc got a freekick which was hit by Min Miera. Jimeno Cortinez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ondino Villalaud having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcial Armendariz made a kick off. If Jimeno Cortinez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gomesano Larramendi during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Frichoso Chapa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ondino Villalaud having to interfere. In the 63rd match minute, Independiente del Huila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brion Ortega to maneuver through the defense. Frichoso Chapa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Asteri Ribacoba charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Asteri Ribacoba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Independiente del Huila. Victorio Lerin stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ondino Villalaud. 3-1. If Jimeno Cortinez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 98th minute, Bixintxo Rechani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Asteri Ribacoba, 99 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Armendariz in the 101st minute of play forced Independiente del Huila's goalkeeper Chuse Aspiazu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Independiente del Huila were the better team. Independiente del Huila's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
