When Osoitz Bollo fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Centauros FC's protests and gave Osoitz Bollo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Centauros FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Osoitz Bollo hit a great ball. After 20 played minutes DELTA FC got a freekick which was hit by Naelio Mirones. Nicanor Acebo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valentin Celerain showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 25 minute of play. Sasoin Moro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cortez Tabernilla having to make a save. If Valentin Celerain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 37 minutes, Criston Cegama managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Centauros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Criston Cegama was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garaona Saens in the 39th minute of play forced DELTA FC's goalkeeper Nicanor Acebo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Criston Cegama sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valentin Celerain stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in DELTA FC's zone, Valentin Celerain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicanor Acebo came out of the goal and Valentin Celerain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ritchie Azcaraso was shown his second yellow card after 55 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, DELTA FC's Ritchie Azcaraso got a free kick in the 56th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Centauros FC's Garaona Saens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicanor Acebo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Nicanor Acebo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Celerain, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 72 minutes into the game, Loiola Grande threw the ball into play from the sideline. Centauros FC's Jorge Mansilla quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 74th minute, Sasoin Moro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Sasoin Moro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cortez Tabernilla, 2-2. After 81 played minutes Centauros FC got a freekick which was hit by Garaona Saens. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sasoin Moro got free with Cortez Tabernilla in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Osoitz Bollo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Centauros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Osoitz Bollo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicanor Acebo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
