The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Chimbusa FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mango:s goal. Chimbusa FC's Xan Guisla got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th match minute, Chimbusa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Hernaiz to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Hernaiz in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cambranes Raigada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Xan Guisla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Cambranes Raigada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrigo Hernaiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cambranes Raigada. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodrigo Hernaiz ran back to his position shaking his head. Rodrigo Hernaiz charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodrigo Hernaiz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rene Pascalin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beila Sisquella having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mango's zone, Xan Guisla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cambranes Raigada came out of the goal and Xan Guisla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 39 minutes, Zornin Sedillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mango and the Chimbusa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zornin Sedillo hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Geleberto Gerica's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beila Sisquella read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Cambranes Raigada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Hernaiz in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rene Pascalin to make the kick off. With his leg Beila Sisquella managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Mango's Geleberto Gerica fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Beila Sisquella made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Anastasio Lisundia sent off a good shot on target. Rodrigo Hernaiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cambranes Raigada. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodrigo Hernaiz ran back to his position shaking his head. When Mango's Rene Pascalin in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chimbusa FC's goalie prevented a goal. 68 minutes into the game, Rene Pascalin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Beila Sisquella. Rene Pascalin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Cambranes Raigada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xan Guisla in the 72nd minute of play. Jacinto Sisneros hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Geleberto Gerica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beila Sisquella having to interfere. 77 minutes in the game, Rene Pascalin fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Beila Sisquella having to interfere. The supporters of Mango booed when Chimbusa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mango's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chimbusa FC the free kick. In the 84th match minute, Mango was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasio Lisundia to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodrigo Hernaiz in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cambranes Raigada saved Mango from getting behind. Mango's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Pascalin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hartz Silio kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Rodrigo Hernaiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cambranes Raigada was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mango eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
