In the 24th minute Alonzo Llantaron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nerio Barrutia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filipe Cavaneros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Alianza Sur defense, Filipe Cavaneros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nerio Barrutia. The Alianza Sur fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nerio Barrutia should have stopped the shot. Tanela FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Millano Saldoval scored to the left of an out of position Ixona Horcasitas, making the score, 1-2. If Alonzo Llantaron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Millano Saldoval ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ixona Horcasitas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Millano Saldoval's late challenge caught a Tanela FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Millano Saldoval helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Alianza Sur getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Millano Saldoval hit a great ball. Ixona Horcasitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Millano Saldoval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tanela FC's Ixona Horcasitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Millano Saldoval in the 61st minute of play. Millano Saldoval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Millano Saldoval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alianza Sur's Millano Saldoval got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nerio Barrutia made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Alonzo Llantaron sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Tanela FC booed when Alianza Sur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gotzon Villatreses didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute Miliano Herce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ixona Horcasitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Millano Saldoval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ixona Horcasitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Millano Saldoval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the game, Alianza Sur's Millano Saldoval nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ixona Horcasitas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2.
