After a defensive mix-up in Mocondino FC's zone, Frisco Guiles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faron Ibarguen came out of the goal and Frisco Guiles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mendiko Fito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Ramiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frisco Guiles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faron Ibarguen having to interfere. Vladimiro Ramiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mendiko Fito having to interfere. Mendiko Fito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Maceira in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Vladimiro Ramiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mendiko Fito. The goal made the score 1-0. Faron Ibarguen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frisco Guiles, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If Frisco Guiles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Koldobika Belmonte hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Frisco Guiles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Frisco Guiles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melwood's supporters rose to their feet, but Frisco Guiles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faron Ibarguen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Orti Briñas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 55 played minutes Melwood got a freekick which was hit by Dantel Madariaga. Vladimiro Ramiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mendiko Fito having to interfere. If Celso Maceira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zaquiel Leyarte hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Mendiko Fito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Ramiro in the 69th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Melwood's Isias Balli got a free kick in the 71st minute. The supporters of Mocondino FC booed when Melwood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zaquiel Leyarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isias Balli charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isias Balli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 90 minutes into the game, Generosb Esparza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Melwood's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mocondino FC the free kick. In the 90th minute, Generosb Esparza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Frisco Guiles came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Melwood fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frisco Guiles couldn't finish the play. Many of Melwood's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Melwood may have spent more time on the ball, but Mocondino FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
