Salineros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Illera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifaco Lazaro in the 84th minute of play forced Gambaldi's goalkeeper Geronimo Folgoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Gambaldi's goal looked a bit too open when Josias Corel came free, but Geronimo Folgoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 minutes, Bonifaco Lazaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salineros and the Gambaldi players grew even worse after the yellow card.
