When Benigno Buitrago came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Aston Birra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benigno Buitrago couldn't finish the play. Hernandez Rabelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enetz Portillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Aston Birra FC's goalkeeper Haitz Tuero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beltza Monterrey. Enetz Portillo struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Hernandez Rabelo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aston Birra FC. Aston Birra FC's Batista Payueta got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vigil Herrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernandez Rabelo having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benigno Buitrago stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Beltza Monterrey scored 1-3 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Haitz Tuero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
