In the 4th minute Ezkerra Trujillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Armendarez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander The Great's Nicanor Armendarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnalt Ceitegui in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Bucaramanga FC booed when Alexander The Great was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beat Cachon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnalt Ceitegui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Armendarez having to interfere. In the 11thth minute of the game Ezkerra Trujillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alexander The Great's Nicanor Armendarez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Ezkerra Trujillo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nicanor Armendarez. 22 minutes into the match, Alexander The Great's goal looked a bit too open when Gervaso Santandres came free, but Nicanor Armendarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Palban Gundin made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Bermund Arriete sent off a good shot on target. Beat Cachon's late challenge caught a Bucaramanga FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beat Cachon helped the player get up and apologised. Beat Cachon kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 27 minutes, Xinaro Saa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alexander The Great and the Bucaramanga FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Ezkerra Trujillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bucaramanga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezkerra Trujillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicanor Armendarez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Bermund Arriete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Ezkerra Trujillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicanor Armendarez. Alexander The Great's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ezkerra Trujillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Artaldo Rico charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artaldo Rico the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Artaldo Rico hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Txindoki Alcubierre sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bucaramanga FC's Palban Gundin didn't even have to move. In the 45th minute, Bermund Arriete left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alexander The Great fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ezkerra Trujillo made a kick off. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bucaramanga FC's goalkeeper Palban Gundin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Xuoco Estebanez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Palban Gundin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xinaro Saa in the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th minute Ezkerra Trujillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Armendarez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Alexander The Great getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Beat Cachon hit a great ball. Nicanor Armendarez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ezkerra Trujillo's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute, Arnalt Ceitegui fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nicanor Armendarez, passed just outside the right post. Alexander The Great's Xinaro Saa got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ezkerra Trujillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Armendarez having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eulalio Rojas in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicanor Armendarez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 89 minutes in the game, Ezkerra Trujillo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Nicanor Armendarez having to interfere. Ezkerra Trujillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnalt Ceitegui could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Nicanor Armendarez made a huge save. In the 96th minute, Ezkerra Trujillo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nicanor Armendarez, passed just outside the right post. After 96 minutes of play, Bucaramanga FC's Eulalio Rojas made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicanor Armendarez was left in no man's land by his defense there!
