Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Flor Rejon got the match started through his kick off. Aldomiro Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pirro Alejandro in the 4th minute of play. Aldomiro Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeo Yurrita in the 6th minute of the match. A well placed Flor Rejon short distance shot in the 13th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. Pirro Alejandro hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Zoil Sorriva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chan Benavente having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Fonda Lortia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the AleJohn defense, Fonda Lortia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aldomiro Andrade. The AleJohn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aldomiro Andrade should have stopped the shot. Fonda Lortia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Aldomiro Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Tadeo Yurrita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barbasco's supporters rose to their feet, but Tadeo Yurrita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aldomiro Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tadeo Yurrita was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Fonda Lortia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Aldomiro Andrade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. AleJohn's Boni Paniagua got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aldomiro Andrade made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fonda Lortia in the 59th minute. A collision led to AleJohn getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Reyes Cullar hit a great ball. Zoil Sorriva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Flor Rejon came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the AleJohn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flor Rejon couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kaxen Vegas during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th minute, Kaxen Vegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barbasco's Tadeo Yurrita got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind AleJohn's goalkeeper Aldomiro Andrade, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aldomiro Andrade made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fonda Lortia in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in AleJohn's zone, Tadeo Yurrita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldomiro Andrade came out of the goal and Tadeo Yurrita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fonda Lortia got free with Aldomiro Andrade in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Zoil Sorriva managed to get in a good position for a shot. AleJohn's supporters rose to their feet, but Zoil Sorriva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chan Benavente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute Flor Rejon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chan Benavente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Barbasco supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Barbasco would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
