Gelmiro Bullon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Garikoitz Puertas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Avimi FC's Bitxintxo Piedrahita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dantel Chandeiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Iturriz in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dantel Chandeiro saved Arenal from getting behind. After 16 minutes, Laffitte Pisciña mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arenal and the Avimi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Laffitte Pisciña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th match minute, Avimi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Iturriz to maneuver through the defense. Avimi FC's Goyo Dacorrega proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Avimi FC from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the game, Edgardo Cumbres recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Goyo Dacorrega. Edgardo Cumbres showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Cumbres in the 27th minute of play forced Avimi FC's goalkeeper Goyo Dacorrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgardo Cumbres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Goyo Dacorrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Arenal's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Iturriz came free, but Dantel Chandeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 2-0 became the score in the 39th minute when Garikoitz Puertas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Avimi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Cumbres came free, but Goyo Dacorrega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Iturriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dantel Chandeiro having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gelmiro Bullon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Avimi FC's Goyo Dacorrega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garikoitz Puertas in the 53rd minute of play. Garikoitz Puertas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Goyo Dacorrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Iturriz in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dantel Chandeiro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 57th minute, Gutierre Mambliga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the game, Arenal's Edgardo Cumbres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Goyo Dacorrega made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Edgardo Cumbres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 minutes of play, Arenal's Garikoitz Puertas made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Goyo Dacorrega was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gelmiro Bullon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Arenal booed when Avimi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bitxintxo Piedrahita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Iturriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Dantel Chandeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Dantae Colombres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Avimi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arenal the free kick. After 88 played minutes Avimi FC got a freekick which was hit by Dantae Colombres. Dantel Chandeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Iturriz in the 91st minute.
