Xerardo Pillado took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mannuel Rioboo. Mannuel Rioboo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Precioso Piciña scored 1-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaspar Cuadrado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Precioso Piciña kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 21stth minute. Though ot was a great shot DEPORTES TOLIMA's keeper Gaspar Cuadrado was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. A collision led to Conyongal FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Xaven Rabago hit a great ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Precioso Piciña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Conyongal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Precioso Piciña was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Precioso Piciña got free with Gaspar Cuadrado in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute, Ellande Berraondo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gaspar Cuadrado. The goal made the score 2-1. Ellande Berraondo struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Gaspar Cuadrado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Conyongal FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Precioso Piciña managed to get in a good position for a shot. Conyongal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Precioso Piciña was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaspar Cuadrado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leopoldo Cubas hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Xaven Rabago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Conyongal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Xaven Rabago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaspar Cuadrado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ellande Berraondo was the one to do the kick off. Gaspar Cuadrado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Precioso Piciña's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in DEPORTES TOLIMA's zone, Precioso Piciña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Cuadrado came out of the goal and Precioso Piciña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaspar Cuadrado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ellande Berraondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Leopoldo Cubas hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 63 minutes of play, Conyongal FC's Ellande Berraondo made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaspar Cuadrado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ellande Berraondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 72 minutes, Ellande Berraondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Conyongal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ellande Berraondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ellande Berraondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Precioso Piciña in the 75th minute of play forced DEPORTES TOLIMA's goalkeeper Gaspar Cuadrado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Conyongal FC's Garin Aldana got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 78th match minute, DEPORTES TOLIMA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xerardo Pillado to maneuver through the defense. Gaspar Cuadrado came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Conyongal FC's Precioso Piciña. But to his dismay, Precioso Piciña quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Gaspar Cuadrado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Precioso Piciña, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Ellande Berraondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Cuadrado having to interfere.
