Bilbo Santaren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mane Opacio having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Donatello Sarria notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of IND MEDELLIN's Mane Opacio. Mane Opacio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Cesario Plaza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind IND MEDELLIN's goalkeeper Mane Opacio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Donatello Sarria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 74 minutes, Ovando Bobis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IND MEDELLIN and the LYON PUTUMAYO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zoil Ochoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Bilbo Santaren managed to get in a good position for a shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. LYON PUTUMAYO FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
