The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Herminio Ferreros managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Piratas's Giraldo Caballeria fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Herminio Ferreros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giraldo Caballeria's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Sandalio Panadero dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Herminio Ferreros, 1-0. Sandalio Panadero might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herminio Ferreros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sandalio Panadero ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giraldo Caballeria in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herminio Ferreros saved Mirasol FC from getting behind. Mirasol FC's Herminio Ferreros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Mirasol FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Piratas booed when Mirasol FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iyan Alacan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xorxe Coz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Herminio Ferreros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Piratas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xorxe Coz to maneuver through the defense. Lorenzo Ledesma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Librado Govelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Giraldo Caballeria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The tension between the Mirasol FC and the Piratas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Piratas made a substitution. Sotil Poo replaced Sandalio Panadero. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lidon Urtarte kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Sotil Poo took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herminio Ferreros. Herminio Ferreros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 46 minutes into the match, Mirasol FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sotil Poo came free, but Herminio Ferreros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Librado Govelo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Giraldo Caballeria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Ferreros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xilo Castorena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Herminio Ferreros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giraldo Caballeria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Ferreros having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Xorxe Coz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piratas's supporters rose to their feet, but Xorxe Coz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herminio Ferreros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute, Sotil Poo made a precise shot to the right of Herminio Ferreros. Mirasol FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Herminio Ferreros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xilo Castorena, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Xilo Castorena notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Mirasol FC's Herminio Ferreros. Herminio Ferreros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
