The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandalio Panadero during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sandalio Panadero kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giraldo Caballeria got free with Palben Artechevezuen in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 24 played minutes Piratas got a freekick which was hit by Xorxe Coz. Lorenzo Ledesma didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Steven Rubain went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Gauargi Porcayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xorxe Coz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Palben Artechevezuen made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gauargi Porcayo during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Piratas getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Gauargi Porcayo hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Steven Rubain to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Gauargi Porcayo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piratas's supporters rose to their feet, but Gauargi Porcayo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Palben Artechevezuen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Gauargi Porcayo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Palben Artechevezuen was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Xorxe Coz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Palben Artechevezuen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xilo Castorena in the 75th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Xorxe Coz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Palben Artechevezuen was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 83rd match minute, Piratas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Aleman to maneuver through the defense. When Giraldo Caballeria came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Piratas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giraldo Caballeria couldn't finish the play. Palben Artechevezuen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gauargi Porcayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 92 minutes, Xorxe Coz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piratas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xorxe Coz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xorxe Coz struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Palben Artechevezuen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piratas.
