Iratze Munguia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Gomez, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Bortzaioriz Aguirre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tirso Garoña in the 33rd minute of the match. Bortzaioriz Aguirre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fonda Cardigondi, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Fonda Cardigondi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bortzaioriz Aguirre having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tirso Garoña was the one to do the kick off. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Bortzaioriz Aguirre as he didn't even see the shot coming. Tello Tros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bortzaioriz Aguirre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The audience was convinced that Tirso Garoña's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bortzaioriz Aguirre was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Barranquilla Sport's Tirso Garoña slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bortzaioriz Aguirre. That made the score 0-3 after 94 minutes of play. The Taguana fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Barranquilla Sport were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
