After 3 minutes, Goiz Arada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Covenitas FC and the Guarangales players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Covenitas FC's Goiz Arada got a free kick in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Cantero in the 5th minute of play forced Covenitas FC's goalkeeper Elija Tarabejano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Montel Graells in the 7th minute of play forced Guarangales's goalkeeper Gelacio Barrial to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Cantero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Elija Tarabejano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Goiz Arada scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gelacio Barrial, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Goiz Arada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gelacio Barrial having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Covenitas FC's Montel Graells nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gelacio Barrial made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 23 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Larrangos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guarangales's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Covenitas FC the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, Guarangales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximiliano Larrangos to maneuver through the defense. Gelacio Barrial showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Goiz Arada in the 25th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Guarangales's goal looked a bit too open when Montel Graells came free, but Gelacio Barrial reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Covenitas FC booed when Guarangales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Locaio Corcoba didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Francesco Oñez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isadoro Mena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Elija Tarabejano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isadoro Mena might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elija Tarabejano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isadoro Mena ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Covenitas FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Javiero Yzarra hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augusto Cantero to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Goiz Arada got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 56 minutes into the game, Montel Graells recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gelacio Barrial. Montel Graells showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Cantero in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elija Tarabejano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Augusto Cantero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elija Tarabejano having to interfere. In the 64th match minute, Guarangales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isadoro Mena to maneuver through the defense. Guarangales's Gelacio Barrial played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Montel Graells in the 65th minute of play. Mane Udobro kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Goiz Arada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gelacio Barrial having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Goiz Arada could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Gelacio Barrial however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, Guarangales's Gelacio Barrial got control of the ball when Goiz Arada tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76th minute Augusto Cantero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elija Tarabejano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Goiz Arada dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gelacio Barrial, 0-4. The Guarangales supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Covenitas FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Covenitas FC.
