That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Arsenio Gayoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Iban Lecin came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Cabquita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iban Lecin couldn't finish the play. Andrew Valdespino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Llorenc Villamarin having to interfere. In the 15th minute Firmin Brena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blai Aguillar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Cabquita's goalkeeper Blai Aguillar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arsenio Gayoso. 20 minutes into the game, Arsenio Gayoso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Blai Aguillar. Arsenio Gayoso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 24 minutes into the match, Arsenio Gayoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Blai Aguillar. Cabquita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arsenio Gayoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Iban Lecin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Llorenc Villamarin having to make a save. Cabquita's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Firmin Brena scored to the left of an out of position Blai Aguillar, making the score, 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Firmin Brena kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Blai Aguillar. That made the score 5-0 in the 37 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iban Lecin made a kick off. With a little luck, FC Cartagena's Llorenc Villamarin got control of the ball when Andrew Valdespino tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Iban Lecin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Llorenc Villamarin was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Cabquita:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Cartagena:s goal. The referee gave FC Cartagena a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ismael Fortea, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cabquita's Blai Aguillar. 7-0. If Eliseo Orejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Firmin Brena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Blai Aguillar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Iban Lecin in the 69th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Llorenc Villamarin kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 7-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Iban Lecin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Llorenc Villamarin having to interfere. The supporters of FC Cartagena booed when Cabquita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eneto Nuevo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrew Valdespino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Cartagena's zone, Iban Lecin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Llorenc Villamarin came out of the goal and Iban Lecin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arsenio Gayoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blai Aguillar having to interfere. Blai Aguillar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Firmin Brena in the 93rd minute of the match. Egun Urquijo kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
