An unexpectedly hard shot by Atarratze Imaz in the 16th minute of play forced Chelsea Football Club's goalkeeper Gilen Quintero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mikelar Leonor's late challenge caught a United States's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mikelar Leonor helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chelsea Football Club's Mikelar Leonor got a free kick in the 16th minute. Santikurtz Carreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. United States's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mouricio Bugedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atarratze Imaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilen Quintero having to interfere. Gilen Quintero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mouricio Bugedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mikelar Leonor was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 44 minutes had been played. After 44 played minutes Chelsea Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Mikelar Leonor. In the 47th minute Oriche Trejo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilen Quintero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Etor Granja to make the kick off. Santikurtz Carreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Gilen Quintero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilen Quintero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Atarratze Imaz went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Atarratze Imaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Santikurtz Carreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Santikurtz Carreira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gilen Quintero. That made the score 0-4 in the 77 minute of play. Gilen Quintero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oriche Trejo in the 82nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea Football Club's zone, Santikurtz Carreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilen Quintero came out of the goal and Santikurtz Carreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gilen Quintero was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Atarratze Imaz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Atarratze Imaz really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Eguzki Mañaria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rito Sierralta charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rito Sierralta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 91 played minutes Chelsea Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Rito Sierralta. Atarratze Imaz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilen Quintero having to make a save. If Santikurtz Carreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 96 played minutes Mouricio Bugedo rounded Chelsea Football Club's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-6. The Chelsea Football Club fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. United States were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
