The long shot by Iraunkor Cuba in the 19th minute really tested Isidor Clarabout's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Justin Giumill managed to get in a good position for a shot. DEPORTIVO CALI's supporters rose to their feet, but Justin Giumill was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xulio Arcaya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th minute of the match Bernad Herrador sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isidor Clarabout skillfully saved the ball. David Guim's late challenge caught a C.D Millonarios's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Guim helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of C.D Millonarios booed when DEPORTIVO CALI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Guim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xulio Arcaya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justin Giumill, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When Jonathan Talaga came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the C.D Millonarios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Talaga couldn't finish the play. DEPORTIVO CALI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justin Giumill was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 53 played minutes C.D Millonarios got a freekick which was hit by Fix Rabel. 55 minutes into the match, C.D Millonarios's goal looked a bit too open when Juan-Alfredo Leyva came free, but Xulio Arcaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justin Giumill got free with Xulio Arcaya in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fix Rabel charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fix Rabel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 70th minute, Fix Rabel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C.D Millonarios's Xulio Arcaya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save C.D Millonarios from getting a goal against them. Colas Sedan charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Colas Sedan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute, Colas Sedan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind DEPORTIVO CALI's goalkeeper Isidor Clarabout, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diagur Farell hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. If Juan-Alfredo Leyva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidor Clarabout didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Forcat went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Juan-Alfredo Leyva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
