Royal Guard's Ernesto Tuñon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chorche Constante in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Cheche Arzallos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Caracakingo Varon. Villaso 's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cheche Arzallos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With a little luck, Villaso 's Caracakingo Varon got control of the ball when Cheche Arzallos tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tohias Correduria in the 33rd minute of play forced Villaso 's goalkeeper Caracakingo Varon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caracakingo Varon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tohias Correduria in the 42nd minute of play. Cheche Arzallos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Caracakingo Varon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chorche Constante made a kick off. The long shot by Beat Baro in the 53rd minute really tested Ernesto Tuñon's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 54 minutes into the match, Royal Guard's goal looked a bit too open when Chorche Constante came free, but Ernesto Tuñon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorrin Fase fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Tuñon having to interfere. Tohias Correduria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boni Oliveras charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Boni Oliveras the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Villaso ! In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Royal Guard. Calixto Traves stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Caracakingo Varon. 3-1. Royal Guard's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Calixto Traves in the 67th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Beat Baro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villaso 's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Royal Guard the free kick. Beat Baro kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Royal Guard's Cheche Arzallos got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cheche Arzallos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Caracakingo Varon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tohias Correduria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Royal Guard fully deserved thier win.
